WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Feeling sad because Mom threw out your baseball card collection that would be worth hundreds of dollars today? Well, now you can view some cards that would be even more valuable than those.

The Library of Congress has put its collection of rare baseball cards online, giving you Internet access to 2,100 cards dating from 1887 to 1914.

Card collector Benjamin K. Edwards preserved these baseball cards and later gave them to poet Carl Sandburg, who in turn donated them to the library.

CNN's Bob Cain reports.
