(IDG) -- So many sites, so little time. The following bookmark
management tools help you mark sites you want to
remember and allow you to sort and arrange your
bookmarks in logical order, even track the last date and
time you've visited a particular site.
- WebTabs: Use this bookmark manager not only
to organize your collection, but also to track
sites you browse for updates. You can sort your
bookmarks in many different ways and even
drag and drop entries between folders. Set up a
watch list to update bookmarks you select, or
export your bookmarks to a simple HTML file
you can browse offline.
- QuikLink Explorer: Replace your browser's
bookmark feature with this Internet information
manager that's designed to make it simpler to
add, maintain, and organize your bookmarks
and other favorite links. Using a familiar
Windows Explorer-like interface, you can drag
and drop between Favorites folders or even cut,
copy, and paste.
- Bookmark Converter: Convert your favorite sites
bidirectionally between Netscape Navigator and
Microsoft Internet Explorer. This utility also
converts bookmarks remotely over a network.
- Compass: Open your bookmarks in a whole new
way. Organize them, edit and view them,
color-code them, or drag and drop them to other
favorites folders. Compass can launch your
browser when you select a few bookmarks and
drop them on your browser icon. It can even
import and export your favorite bookmarks
between formats.
- WebQuick: Use either Navigator or IE with this
enhanced bookmark manager. It automatically
tracks the last 200 sites you've visited, then
gives you a group of predefined links to top
Internet sites.
- Net Buddy: This Web-watching tool
automatically notifies you whenever your favorite
Web pages have been updated.
- WebMaster Address Book: Keep all your URLs
and e-mail addresses in one alphabetized,
indexed, clickable Web page, with active links
to your favorite Web sites.
- WebAgent & Super Bookmarks: WebAgent lets
you monitor Web sites that interest you and
download changes so that you can surf them on
your hard drive instead of over the Internet.
SuperBookMarks organizes your favorite Web
sites into hierarchical windows.
- URL Manager: Use this tool to organize and
categorize your Internet addresses. You can
enter addresses manually; import them from
text, HTML, and comma-delimited ASCII files;
export them to an HTML file; and print lists.
Windows 3.x users should download the 16-bit
version.
- Powermarks: This bookmark and favorites
manager works with IE, Navigator, and Opera to
help manage your favorite sites. Using a
Windows Explorer-like visual display, you can
display all your bookmarks in a sorted list and
organize them based on name, location,
descriptions, and even last visit. You can also
export them to a variety of formats, including
clipboard cut and paste.
