(IDG) -- We can all use some assistance. This week's collection of hot files help you make a statement with style. Some of these files beef up applications you already have, while others stand alone. Use them to design professional documents for your business or Web site, or let them help you streamline label printing and changing document formats.

  1. Business Card Designer Plus: Create professional-looking business cards, using special effects such as rotated text, images, and OLE objects. This design utility supports any font, size, style, and color, and supports .jpg, .tif, .png, .bmp, pcx, and .wmf image files.

  2. Labels, Cards & More: Print labels, cards, envelopes, and other odd-size documents on any printer. Labels, Cards & More supports custom layouts, full color, OLE2, special effects, and text in any size and rotation.

  4. OfficeArt AutoShapes for Office 97: Adds 19 adjustable shapes to your Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Draw toolbars. Use any of the included AutoShapes for logos, illustrations, diagrams, and other documents.

  6. Presentation Builder: Build your PowerPoint show in Word 97 with the help of this presentation-building tool. In Word you assign all the styles and formats you need, then run the presentation creator macros to move your document to PowerPoint to finalize your document.

  7. ThingMaker: Does your Web site have a case of the blahs? ThingMaker lets you create great interactive multimedia presentations from your applications, presentations, and more. Incorporate multimedia sound and audio without having to program a single line of code.

  8. PowerPoint Animation Player/Publisher: Create PowerPoint animation files with this publisher and player combination. It's great for creating animated presentations, Web pages, and more.
