Master of Web domain: Surfing 'Seinfeld' sites
By CNN Interactive Associate Producer Jenna Milly
(CNN) -- As long as there are obsessed fans, it seems unlikely that NBC's pop culture phenomenon "Seinfeld" will experience significant shrinkage in Internet bandwidth. Dozens of fan sites cater to followers of the "show about nothing" with sound clips, episode guides, fact sheets and trivia games.
Sounds for 'Seinfeld'-crazed schmoopies
Recommended by several other fan pages, Scott Kemp's "Seinfeld" Page has more than 300 sounds from various episodes. The download time alone should keep fans chuckling at the keyboard for days or at least until George's old fiancee, Susan, is resurrected.
Even "Superman would be helpless to that ..." Jerry would say about Buckwood's "Seinfeld" Page, an extensive sound database that also includes clips from the Costanzas and the Seinfelds. Rare Seinfeld Wavs is a site that features hard-to-find sounds from characters like Newman the mail carrier (Jerry's nemesis) and Mr. Steinbrenner (George's boss, the spoofed Yankee owner).
Trivia: Was it really about nothing?
Does anyone remember why Uncle Leo put Jerry's Nana in a home? If in the past nine seasons you have turned into a frenzied Seinfeldaholic, The Seinfeldiest Site on the Web has everything you ever wanted to know. News, videos, trivia and finale suggestions are updated daily on this trivia-heavy site.
Another resource is the "Seinfeld" episode guide, which has summaries, titles and air dates. For further amusement, the "Seinfeld" quotes page offers excerpts from more than 60 shows, including the impossible roommate switch and the Junior Mint extravaganza.
After researching Vandelay Industries (manufacturers of fine latex, if you forgot), The "Seinfeld" Instant-Marking Trivia Page is the perfect place to test your knowledge. This site has an instant rating system that explains wrong answers for each of its 20 different quizzes.
Game sites and bizzaro situations
If trivia games aren't enough, the official Columbia TriStar Television: "Seinfeld" Page features viewer-controlled, 360-degree virtual reality tours (QTVRs) of Jerry's apartment and Monk's coffee shop. To rearrange the mugs on Jerry, Kramer, Elaine and George, Mr. Showbiz's Plastic Surgery Lab has all the necessary items to "slice and dice."
Bizarro World becomes reality when The Real Kramer's Homepage goes online, complete with information on how to take an authentic New York City Reality Tour. And finally, A Tribute to George Costanza is an entire site dedicated to the short, stocky, bald, chronic loser and his cantankerous parents. Serenity now!
