From Correspondent Brian Nelson
(CNN) -- At this time of year, love is in the air -- and on
the Net. A little surfing turns up more relevant sites than
you can shake a cherub at.
Naturally, flowers are a big part of Valentine's Day -- and
VirtualFlowers lets you order roses
online for delivery to your special person.
And, if reality isn't enough -- send your love a virtual
bouquet, at no charge.
At the pink-framed valentine.com -- "the love at first site" -- there's a service for ordering
chocolate goodies, and another to track down a lost love's
e-mail address.
There's also a romantic bookstore, classic love letters, and
the love mechanic's advice for the heart. And that's not
all -- the site includes a setup to tell you what kind of
greeting card is right for you and your love, from
"simple curiosity" to "animal passion."
At Be My Valentine, there's
the opportunity to download some songs of love -- from Elvis
to Old Blue Eyes, and a celebrity matching game to see if you
know which star goes with their intended.
At Doctor Love's Love Calculator,
you can plot the odds for a romance by arcane calculation of
the names of the loved ones. Sometimes it seems to work. but
other attempts seem star-crossed.
The Cyrano Server is for the shy and unimaginative -- it takes your thoughts and puts them
into an e-mail message with panache. Supply a few nouns,
verbs and adjectives, and it does the rest.
Just make sure your love has a sense of humor.
