The CNN Studio Tour

CNN Studios

view of CNN newsroom The CNN Studio Tour begins with an overview of the main CNN newsroom, the global headquarters of the Cable News Network. CNN's first broadcast was June 1, 1980. Initially the signal was seen in 1.7 million U.S. cable households. CNN is now seen in 80 million U.S. cable households. CNN and CNN International combine to reach more than 200 million households across the globe. This newsroom operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. On average, there are approximately 100 people in the newsroom, but during major news events like the Persian Gulf War, that number can exceed 200.
