Amidst this season's love of sobriety in greys, navys and olive greens, splash a bit of colour around. With real flair it is easy to stand out from the crowd. The current Chanel perfume advertising campaign has taken full note of this, with its model dressed in a bright pillar box red.
Red, an instantly eye-catching colour, is fabulous for accessories especially at night. The theatricality of a red boa carelessly slung over a simple dress is dramatic, while an embroidered scarf from Anna Sui adds a note of bohemian decadence.
