(CNN) -- A hairdresser in New York City is sacrificing a little off the top -- of his profits, that is -- for turning away clients because of their age.
Michael Giovan says he refused appointments to women much over the age of 25 because he only likes do short, trendy styles on young women. But the cut-off for cuts has caused a flap, resulting not only in national media exposure for the choosy stylist, but also a $1,000 fine.
