China Earthquake

A 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck the mountainous area of China's Qinghai province early Wednesday morning. The Xinhua News Agency reports that 8,000 people were injured. The death toll has neared 400, and is expected to continue to rise. These International disaster relief organizations are sending teams to provide immediate assistance. Story

The kids would typically be at the centre half the day and work half the day on the streets, selling gum, washing cars and other odd jobs.
