'Minority Report' | 2002
Many current carmakers have a presence in Steven Spielberg’s “Minority Report.” In the Washington, D.C., of 2054, cars are streamlined inside and out, with some interiors incorporating a living-room look with two chairs facing each other and little else. These cars seamlessly travel on their sides and on their wheels, with highways stretching up the sides of buildings as well as across the land. As pre-crime cop John Anderton, Tom Cruise drives two different cars, one with conventional steering and one without any controls that parks in front of his apartment window -- effectively becoming an extension of his home.
