'Freejack' | 1992
A slick looking, aerodynamic design makes the cars of 2009 -- as seen in the movie “Freejack” -- look radically different from the cars in 1992, when the beginning of the sci-fi time-travel film takes place. But with only 17 years difference, the cars still have some recognizable attributes: They drive on asphalt roads, many police vehicles are Jeep-brand vehicles, and some have gull-wing doors. Lucky for the main character -- a race car driver played by Emilio Estevez -- the steering wheels, brakes and gas pedals all work the same, since he spends much of the movie trying to out-race a corporate thug played by Mick Jagger.
