Eligibility Eligible Nominees ("Nominees") for the CNN Viewer's Choice Awards Program (the "Program") include those individuals profiled as heroes on various CNN networks for the CNN Heroes series. The Program is open to Eligible Nominees worldwide except for those residing in a country listed in the Voided Countries list below. The Program is void in those countries where the Program, its mechanisms, its Terms and Conditions and/or its Awards or any part(s) of them are prohibited by any applicable law, regulation, guideline or ordinance. Employees and immediate family members of Cable News Network, Inc. ("CNN"), Johnson & Johnson, Coors Brewing Company, Citi (Citigroup, Inc.), American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and Zurich Financial Services (together with CNN the "Sponsors"), and their parents, sponsors, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies (the "Program Entities") are not eligible to participate in the program or submit nominations.

Voting To submit your vote for the Program log on to and cast your vote for your favorite Nominee. There are six categories in which viewers may cast votes: Defending the Planet, Fighting for Justice, Community Crusader, Medical Marvel, Championing Children, and Young Wonder (under 18). Voting for the first category begins 12:00 pm Eastern Time (ET) on October 1, 2007 and continues for the following seven (7) days until approximately 11:59 am ET on October 8, 2007. Each subsequent week, for the next 5 weeks, viewers will be able to vote in a new category ("Finalist Voting"). Based on the results of the Finalist Voting, there will be one (1) winner from each of the six (6) categories (the "Finalists"). Finalist Voting ends 11:59 am ET on November 12, 2007. During the next two weeks, 12:00 pm ET on November 12, 2007 through 11:59 am ET on November 26, 2007, viewers can cast a vote for one of the Finalists ("Winner Voting") to be the Program winner (the "Winner"). There will be one Winner based on the results of the Winner Voting. False or deceptive votes or acts may render a nominee ineligible.

Privacy Nominees may be contacted to provide additional information and have their information verified. CNN reserves the right to request and require additional information from nominees in order to have their nomination considered.

Notification and Publication Some Nominees may be notified by phone, email, or postal service and may be required to submit additional information. At the sole discretion of CNN, the Winner may be asked to attend the Awards Ceremony in New York. If asked to attend the Awards Ceremony, Winner will be responsible for obtaining all proper documentation (e.g., Visa, Passport) prior to travel. Whether or not compensation will be provided for any portion of such travel will be in CNN's sole discretion. It is not necessary for Winner to be present at the Awards Ceremony. Winner, present or not, will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony. Notification and/or the featuring of a Nominee in no way conveys that a particular Nominee has or will be selected as a Winner. If at any point a Nominee becomes ineligible, chooses not to participate in the Program or is disqualified for any reason, CNN reserves the right to select an alternate Nominee.


Winner will receive Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00)

Winner is responsible for the reporting and payment of all taxes as well as any other costs and expenses associated with acceptance and use of an award not specified herein as being awarded.

General If, for any reason, the Program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsors which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Program, CNN reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Awards Program. Sponsors assume no responsibility for any error, omissions, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation with transmission, communications, line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or allegation of submissions. Sponsors are not responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, equipment or software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, phone lines, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a participant's computer related to or resulting from participation in this Contest. Use of any script, macro or other automated means of entry are prohibited. Sponsors reserve the right to void any entries by prohibited means. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE AWARDS PROGRAM IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Sponsors are not responsible for any late, lost, garbled, misdirected, incomplete, or damaged entries; any disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sponsors; or any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Program. The Program Entities, are not in any way responsible or liable for the use of the funds donated or for any damage, loss or injury (including death) resulting from participation in the Program and/or acceptance and use of any awards won.
