Scud-B missile

Iraq first purchased Scud-B missile launchers and an unknown number of missiles from the Soviet Union in 1974. After the Persian Gulf war, a U.N. resolution ordered Iraq was ordered to destroy all missiles with ranges greater than that 93 miles (150 km), including the Scud-B which has a range of 185 miles (298 km). U.N. inspectors destroyed 48 Scuds but the United States and Great Britian believe Iraq still has a small number of Scuds. The missiles, which have a very poor accuracy, can be fired from mobile or fixed launch sites.
