Woodrow Wilson
The 28th U.S. president was awarded the 1919 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to create the League of Nations. Wilson, right, is shown at the Paris Peace Conference on May 27, 1919, at the Hotel Crillon. From left, British Prime Minister David Lloyd George, Italian Prime Minister Vittorio Emanuele Orlando, French Premier Georges Clemenceau and Wilson make up the Council of Four.
