You always made heads turn -- whether it was your smile, your sense of humor or your personality. You will be sadly missed by me and your friends at Club Abyss. Rest in peace, Rob.

Hearing that you were among the missing took not only part of my heart, but my innocence as well. I will always remember your smile. The days we'd meet in the park when you were with the NYPD were special to me. Seeing you would be the high point of my day. We had lost touch through the years, yet I can still hear your voice. Every day since September 11th, I close my eyes and see you and feel your presence. You were strong, sweet and sensitive, and you made an impact in my life that will forever remain. I remember how safe I felt when you held my hand, and I can be sure that on that morning you gave that security to many as you led them to safety. I may never hold your hand again, but I will hold you close in my heart and never let your death be in vain. You were taken too soon and in a way that is unspeakable. Our innocence was taken that morning and you were a part of mine.
