Environmental Issues in Asia

Six billion people now inhabit the planet, about half of whom live in Asia. Some environmentalists are now wondering how much more our terrestrial home can take.
With sinking Pacific islands, global warming, coral bleaching, deforestation and polluted Asian mega cities, the region is only beginning to realize the environmental cost of development.
