What's Victoria's secret weapon?

NEW YORK (CNN) -- If you've ever walked into one of their perfumed lingerie stores, you can probably guess the secret -- Victoria is a gorgeous, leggy, supermodel who's not afraid to show her stuff. At least that's what I get out of it.

Whatever her secret, the cat was out of the bag in New York Tuesday night when a flight of gorgeous women stalked down the runway in nothing but their underwear. Well, a few of them had on angel wings.

It was enough to have photographers falling all over each other and to give me a complex that will keep me out of a bathing suit for about 10 years.

The main theme of the runway show, just in time for Valentine's Day, was angelic sexiness. It goes perfectly with the heavenly bodies donning the few strips of cloth. "The angels are basically a concept that came from a line of bras that were very pure, very seamless, very... sort of transparent," model Stephanie Seymore says. In other words, these girls could stop traffic during a coup.

Even the Plaza, where the show was held, was decked out for the event. "We lit the outside of the hotel in pink. It looks very groovy," says chief marketing officer for Victoria's Secret Ed Razek. Did he use the word "groovy"?

Inside, the flashbulbs popped along with some of the observer's eyes as a host of the genetically blessed floated down the aisle in sheer, sexy panties and bras, corsettes and slips.

The people with the most difficult job are the Victoria's Secret spokespeople. They were trying to make sure that all of the attention is focused on the fashions. "Tonight's show is very beautiful. It's very couture. Every outfit is different, sheerness... a lot of color, mixing of colors (and) patterns," Monica Mitro says. The lingerie is lovely but I don't think that's what everyone was looking at.

While walking around in public in just underwear would be a nightmare for some people (or a crime in a few cases), it's kind of fun for some of these ladies. "I've never walked around on the runway in my underwear before," Chandra North says. If you looked like her, you would find it fun, too.
