Where: Radio City Music Hall, New York City -- and, simultaneously telecast on CBS.
Master of Ceremonies: Kelsey Grammer, the star of NBC's "Frasier," a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music and himself an erstwhile songster. Viewers sample his singing voice weekly for the "Frasier" opening theme song, "Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs."
Of note: Folk figure Bob Dylan, who last notched his name on the Grammy Awards winners' roll in 1979, returns to the competition this year. Other music-industry veterans joining him on the nominees' list: Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Julio Iglesias and David Bowie.
