USS GUAM

DESCRIPTION: This task force of three or four amphibious assault ships is lead by a smaller helicopter carrier.

The ships, with their complement of 2,000 Marines, form a "quick reaction force" that can put a small army of troops, along with light tanks and armored vehicles, on the ground on short notice.

The Marines are also trained for "special operations" such as evacuation of civilians or rescue of downed pilots behind enemy lines.
