(CNN) -- Poisonous mutant toads will take over the world unless your mutant battle beast can conquer other renegade battle beasts in 7th Level's aptly titled "Battle Beast."

Despite the way it looks, "Battle Beast" is not for Super Nintendo, Sega Saturn or Sony Playstation -- it runs on IBM PC's. In fact, it's designed to run happily on PC's that have upgraded to Windows 95 and takes advantage of the new 32- bit operating system to run at almost Saturday morning animation quality.

The game's 8,000 frames of animation would be a tiny amount for a cartoon, but are epic for a computer game. And "Battle Beast" doesn't take itself quite as seriously as other blood-thirsty battle games out there. (51k .aiff sound file or 94k .wav sound file)

Players will find considerable technical support through a forum on America Online and a World Wide Web page that offers hints and tips. "Battle Beast" for multimedia PC's has an average price of $50 on the street, and street fighters may find it fast fun.
