'NewsRadio' star arrested for drug possesion and hit and run

LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Actor Andy Dick was arrested Saturday after his car rammed a pole and he tried to flee police.
The accident occurred when Dick hit a pole in Hollywood and then tried to escape on foot, authorities said.
Police quickly caught up with him and placed him under arrest, according to Officer Charlotte Broughton of the Los Angeles Poice Department.
Police found both cocaine and marijuana in Dick's car.
Dick is being charged with felony possesion of a controlled substance, felony driving under the influence, and felony hit and run, police said.
Andy Dick stars in the NBC sitcom "NewsRadio."
