Cop sues George Michael for slander

LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- The Beverly Hills police officer who arrested George Michael in a public restroom has filed a $10 million slander suit against the singer.

Marcelo Rodriguez arrested Michael in April 1998 on charges of committing a lewd act in a park restroom. Michael pleaded no contest. Since then, Rodriguez says Michael has mocked him in music videos and told interviewers that he was a victim of entrapment.

Rodriguez is "a very well-respected police officer who has had some very vicious things said about him," says his attorney, Richard F.G. Thomas. "(Michael) has said (things) in numerous interviews in magazines, on television, on the Internet and all over. George Michael has profited greatly out of what has happened at my client's expense."

No comment is reported from Michael or his agent on the allegations.

Taylor

Taylor is expected to make full recovery

LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Elizabeth Taylor needs two to three months of physical therapy to fully recover from a spinal fracture, according to those treating her.

The 67-year-old actress suffered a compression fracture of her 12th thoracic vertebra when she fell in her Bel Air home last month. She returned home after a 10-day hospital stay and has been undergoing physical therapy seven days a week, according to Leroy Perry who's handling her care.

"She's working very hard at total recovery, and she will have total recovery," Perry said. "What people don't know about Elizabeth Taylor is she has the drive and stamina of any athlete."

Jagger

Jagger Jr. to go to Eton

LONDON (CNN) -- Rolling Stone Mick Jagger plans to enroll his son at England's exclusive Eton school, the child's Brazilian mother Luciana Morad says. "We're trying to do the best we can for our son," she says.

"We would like to bring him up in England and send him to Eton -- if he's good enough to get in," she tells the Evening Standard.

Jagger is famed for his full lips and Morad says of their son: "I want him to look like me but he looks just like his dad -- it's scary. He does this funny thing with his lip."

Donaldson gets online show

NEW YORK (CNN) -- We told you last week that ABC White House correspondent Sam Donaldson is to take on new chores. Well, the network now reveals what they are.

He's to host "SamDonaldsonABCNEWS.com," a 15-minute news report to "air" Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:30 p.m. ET on the Internet, according to ABC. The program is scheduled to begin September 27. The general-news Webcast, with an emphasis on Internet issues, is an experiment that could expand if there's enough interest, Donaldson says.

"A lot of smart people tell me the Internet is the future," says the 65-year-old journalist. "If there is, there's nothing like being on the ground floor."

Donaldson says he'll still co-host "This Week," his ABC Sunday morning talk show with Cokie Roberts, and do occasional hour-long specials for ABC. But he'll no longer host "20/20" one night a week.

Kusturica takes up Smoking

THESSALONIKI, Greece (CNN) -- Emir Kusturica, the award-winning Sarajevo-born director, is trading in his camera for a guitar for a time. Kusturica says he'll tour with his No Smoking Band. He says he'll play in Switzerland, France, Poland and Greece.

Kusturica, who was honored as best director for "Black Cat, White Cat" at last year's Venice Film Festival, said he decided to rejuvenate his old band.

Kusturica also made the 1995 "Underground," a film about the war in his native Bosnia-Herzegovina.
