Stallone

Stallone's Bouguereau painting sells for $2.6 million

NEW YORK (CNN) -- A painting by William Adolphe Bouguereau that was owned by movie star Sylvester Stallone has sold for more than $2.6 million, nearly doubling the previous record for a work by the 19th century artist. The 1883 oil painting "Alma Parens," which depicts a young woman offering her nurturing breast to the children around her, was bought by an American private collector for $2,642,500 at a Tuesday auction at Sotheby's.

Stallone is reportedly considered one of Hollywood's most serious art collectors. The auction house said Stallone was "delighted" at the sale, which had carried an estimate of $2.2 to $2.6 million.

DiCaprio

DiCaprio lacking muscle for 'The Beach'?

NEW YORK (CNN) -- The New York Post says actor Leonardo DiCaprio has been enjoying his success from "Titanic," perhaps a little too much. The paper says the heartthrob has put on 20 pounds, thanks to a combination of junk food, nightclubbing and a knee operation that kept him out of the gym.

The extra pounds have Danny Boyle, director of DiCaprio's next movie "The Beach," a little worried, the Post said. DiCaprio is due to start shooting "The Beach" in January. His $20 million starring role will require him to spend a lot of time in bathing suits and shorts. But DiCaprio's agent, Cindy Guagenti, said the Post report was "ridiculous." "The report is from a gossip columnist and that's what it is -- gossip," Guagenti said.

Jagger

Mick Jagger trying to keep daughter off the catwalks

LONDON (CNN) -- Mick Jagger is reportedly trying to keep his daughter out of the fast lane. According to Britain's Harpers & Queen magazine, the rocker had ordered Elizabeth Jagger, 14, to give up her budding career as a fashion model.

"He wants Elizabeth to concentrate on her schoolwork and he says it's really silly as she doesn't need the money," the magazine quoted Jagger's wife, model Jerry Hall, as saying. But Hall says she has overruled Jagger. "He's not getting his way," she said. Elizabeth Jagger appeared on the catwalk alongside her mother this summer at fashion shows in Paris and London. Mick Jagger is currently leading his Rolling Stones on yet another tour.

Wynonna

Wynonna splitting with husband of less than three years

FRANKLIN, Tennessee (CNN) -- Country singer Wynonna Judd is ending her marriage to Arch Kelley III, according to court papers. Judd, 34, claimed "irreconcilable differences" with Kelley, 46, in a suit filed November 6 in Williamson County. The two were married on January 21, 1996. The suit stated that the couple separated the day before and that there were no custody issues involving Judd's two children, who live with her.

Judd and her mother Naomi were a top-selling act in country music from 1984 until 1990, when chronic hepatitis forced Naomi to retire. Wynonna Judd has since performed solo.
