Tyson

Tyson's road rage restrained

GAITHERSBURG, Maryland (CNN) -- Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on Monday was involved in a minor car accident and had to be restrained by his own bodyguards from fighting the driver of the other car, police said. Tyson was the passenger, and his wife was driving when she reportedly ran into the car in front of her.

Police termed the accident a "fender bender," but an angered Tyson apparently wanted to fight the driver of the other car, and had to be restrained by his bodyguards, who were traveling in a car behind him, witnesses told police. Tyson was banned from boxing in July 1997 after biting Evander Holyfield's ears during their heavyweight championship fight.

It was the first marriage for both. The couple will soon go on a honeymoon, the spokeswoman said.

Telluride, Colorado

Telluride Film Fest to feature Welles flick

TELLURIDE, Colorado (CNN) -- The 25th Annual Telluride Film Festival kicks off on Wednesday. The Colorado event will screen a re-edited version of Orson Welles' 1958 film "Touch of Evil" along with a slate of independent and experimental pictures.

The Welles picture was supposed to make its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival May 22, but that plan was scrapped after granddaughter Beatrice Welles complained that the "altered" version of the film could not be shown without her consent. The studios have since decided through their lawyers that Welles' claim has no merit, and they resurrected the premiere idea for the Telluride and Toronto festivals.
