Spielberg stalker gets 25 years to life

SANTA MONICA, California (CNN) -- The man convicted of stalking director Steven Spielberg was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison on Wednesday. Jonathan Norman was "obsessive and frightening, and I think he does present a danger to society," Superior Court Judge Steven Suzakawa said. Spielberg addressed the court before the sentencing, saying, "Had Jonathan Norman actually confronted me, I genuinely in my heart of hearts believe that I would have been raped or maimed or killed." Norman was arrested after he made two attempts to enter Spielberg's Pacific Palisades home in June and July 1997.

Keiko

Keiko home picked; now comes the hard part

NEWPORT, Oregon (CNN) -- Keiko has a new home; now his handlers just need to move him there. A cliff-enclosed bay in Iceland's Vestmannaeyjar Islands has been chosen as the site of the ocean halfway house for Keiko, the star killer whale of the "Free Willy" movies. The announcement came Tuesday, a week after Iceland agreed to welcome Keiko. Handlers of the 20-year-old whale may transfer him from Oregon to that location as early as September; they hope to get him used to the natural waters off Iceland, and eventually release him back into the open sea. Keiko was captured off Iceland at age 2, and spent most of his life at a tiny aquarium in Mexico City before being moved to Oregon.
