(CNN) -- With the Grammy nominations for last year's best releases due Tuesday, it seemed appropriate to get some musicians' feedback on who merits recognition for these awards. Their answers may surprise you.
Steven Page of the band Barenaked Ladies, for example, gave a Northern Irish band his top pick, calling Divine Comedy's album "Fin de Siecle" ("End of the Century") "hilarious but poignant."
Meanwhile, both Sharon Marley and Beenie Man tapped former Fugee Lauryn Hill's recent release, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill," as their favorite, with Marley saying she listens to the album for an hour every morning "to get my biorhythms on track."
World Beat got input from many other artists over the past few months as well, including Jennifer Paige, Michael Stipe of REM, and Roberta Flack. What were their top picks? Watch the full report!
