NEW YORK (CNN) -- It was Christmas 1932 when Radio City Music Hall celebrated its opening night, and the Rockettes -- then known as the Roxyettes -- were there. Ever since, the legendary, long-legged Rockettes have been kicking up their heels with to help New Yorkers celebrate the season.
The Radio City Christmas Spectacular continues, and women still line up every year for an open call to select new dancers. How does a handful of dancers get picked from the hundreds who try out?
