(CNN) -- Squirrel Nut Zippers fans will be happy to know that "Perennial Favorites" follows in the cyber-footsteps of the 1996 SNZ release "Hot" as an enhanced CD-ROM that performs in computers.
Along with the band's 12 new songs, "Perennial Favorites" offers an endless stream of backstory and trivia on SNZ, concert and studio footage, links to songs from their previous albums, and an interactive book of interviews with band members over the past three years.
The enhanced CD was created by Clay Walker, an Atlanta-based SNZ fan who caught up with the band after the 1995 release of "The Inevitable." Walker also created the enhanced CD for "Hot."
"This one is a lot better," says Walker. "It'll take someone like a week to go through" the content on "Perennial Favorites."
Tom Maxwell of SNZ says Walker has worked hard on the project in partnership with Mammoth Records.
"I tell you what, it'll give me more insight on the band I'm already in," Maxwell says.
Some of the footage and graphics seen in this article are from "Perennial Favorites."
