Poll: Most Americans are Sinatra fans
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- As the family and friends of entertainer Frank Sinatra gathered Wednesday for his burial, a CNN/TIME poll showed that most Americans consider themselves fans of the Chairman of the Board. While a third of all adults are not Sinatra fans at all, 44 percent say they are at "somewhat" fans of the singer/actor.
Not surprisingly, older Americans are much more likely to be fans of Ol' Blue Eyes than younger Americans. Sinatra fans are also divided by region, with fans most likely to reside in the Northeast, and least likely to come from the South. There is even a political "Sinatra gap," with independents much less likely to say they are Sinatra fans than Republicans or Democrats.
The poll, in which 1,234 adult Americans were surveyed, was conducted on May 18 and 19. Poll results:
