LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Italy's "Life is Beautiful" may be the best known (to U.S. audiences) of the Oscar nominees for Best Foreign Film -- but it's got some stiff competition from around the world.
Movies from Iran, Brazil, Spain and Argentina are also up for the international prize to be given in Sunday's Academy Awards ceremony.
CNN's Sanjay Singh looks at the contenders.
