(CNN) -- This week's first video pick isn't all that impressive. If they'd spent twice as much time trying to figure out the digital revolution, and about a quarter as much time on Generation X fashion, "Hackers" might have been something other than what it is.
What it is, is an insult to anyone who has ever worked on a computer, legally or otherwise. In recent weeks, all those computer-related movies have been trickling into video stores. But this one is by far the worst. Don't just avoid it; delete it.
Next is "Copycat," which stars Sigourney Weaver as an over-the-top agoraphobic serial killer expert. Holly Hunter is a nice contrast as a tightly wrapped cop in this film about a serial killer who copies other serial killers. The movie is an exciting, if ordinary excursion into one of Hollywood's current obsessions. There's good suspense on the first run-through, but you won't care enough to go back for a second look.
See you at the rental counter.
