HOLLYWOOD, California (CNN) -- There's a new champion among winners of the Golden Raspberry Awards. "Showgirls" nabbed an unprecedented seven awards at the 16th annual spoof show. The film scored as worst picture, worst script, worst actress, worst director and three other bottom-of-the-barrel categories. Kyle McLachlan was saved from getting the worst-actor award by Pauly Shore, who took the honor for his work in "Jury Duty."

CBS is hoping Saturday night will be the best night of the week. The network is picking up the entire Saturday night lineup for the 1996-97 season. Ratings hits "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," "Touched By an Angel" and "Walker, Texas Ranger" will all be return in the fall.

David Caruso is out of "Metro." Daily Variety reports the actor won't be joining comedian Eddie Murphy in the action thriller because of a schedule conflict. The trade publication says Caruso instead will work on the new Oliver Stone production, "Cold Around the Heart."
