HOLLYWOOD, California (CNN) -- Kate Winslet, nominated for her supporting role in "Sense and Sensibility," has more good news to celebrate. The actress will star in "Titanic," a big studio production directed by T2's James Cameron. Shooting starts this summer.

Add Liam Neeson's name to the Oscar roster. The actor and Academy Award nominee for the 1993 film "Schindler's List" will serve as a presenter this year.

Phil Hartman, a regular on the series, "News Radio," will move to the big screen. Hartman has sealed a deal for the Arnold Schwarzenegger comedy "Jingle All the Way." In other casting news, former "NYPD Blue" star David Caruso is moving toward the film "Cold Around the Heart" produced by Oliver Stone.

Philadelphia

A settlement has been reached between the makers of "Philadelphia" and the family of the late Geoffrey Bowers. Tri-Star Pictures admits that the film was inspired in part by Bowers, a lawyer who successfully filed an AIDS-discrimination suit against his firm.

Poitier

Sidney Poitier will be making a rare Hollywood appearance. Columnist Army Archerd reports that the actor will take the stage as a presenter at the Academy Awards. Oscar producer Quincy Jones apparently extended the invitation to Poitier.

The veteran "60 Minutes" team won their Sunday night time slot in the first face-off with "Dateline." But Nielsen's highest-rated news magazine was ABC's 20/20. Barbara Walters' interview with Christopher Darden put that show in 4th place for the week.

Natural Born Killers

The violence of Oliver Stone's "Natural Born Killers" is causing concern in Britain. One hundred legislators are demanding that the video version of the film be banned.

Reba McEntire is the top concert draw, according to the latest Amusement Business magazine. Performances by Bob Seger, AC/DC and the Red Hot Chili Peppers followed with strong ticket sales.

After a two-year stint in Hollywood, the Grammys are moving east. The awards will be broadcast from New York's Madison Square Garden in 1997.
