HOLLYWOOD, California (CNN) -- The Beatles' new single isn't getting any radio time on BBC Radio One. The Hollywood Reporter trade paper reports the BBC says it's not playing "Real Love" on grounds of merit. The contemporary music radio station says it is not banning the single, merely not adding it to the playlist. A spokesman for the fab three says the group won't pursue legal action, but they don't understand the decision.
Nicole Kidman is picking out a gown for the Oscars. The actress has joined the list of presenters for the 68th annual Academy Awards, which will be broadcast worldwide on March 25.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, comedian David Spade has jumped ship. The comic is currently on a leave of absence from "Saturday Night Live," a leave he now says he is going to make permanent. The trade paper says critical beatings of the long-running comedy show have taken their toll on him.
It's no cartoon. The Turner Cartoon Network is obviously the real thing -- the network has just registered its 25 millionth subscriber.
Bruce Willis is considering going to work on the movie "Combat," based on the old TV series. The film is being developed at Paramount Pictures, with Walter Hill a likely candidate for director.

More awards for Tom Hanks. Although there will be no Oscar for him this year, Hanks took home two awards at the annual People's Choice ceremony, and his film "Apollo 13" was named favorite dramatic film.
Christopher Walken has signed up for a new project. Walken will co-star with Alicia Silverstone in a movie called "Excess Baggage," in which he plays an ex-CIA operative.

A fabulous debut for "The Muppets Tonight." The new comedy show from the Muppets opened on ABC on Friday, easily winning the time slot in overnight ratings in 33 major cities around the country.
Linda Fiorentino has a new role. The star of "The Last Seduction" and "Jade" will be working with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in "Men in Black."
