Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney has been honored by the Royal College of Music. The rock legend was given a Fellowship of the Royal College for "distinguished services to music." The fellowship puts him in company with such musical figures as Placido Domingo and Sir Michael Tippett. He received the fellowship this week from the college president, also known as Prince Charles.



It's not even due in the theaters for two more weeks, but "Toy Story" has already sold its first million dollars worth of tickets. The Disney release is set to run at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, With a "Toy Story" funhouse installed next door. Advance ticket sales for the engagement have passed the million mark.



Chris Farley


Chris Farley is in the $6 million club. Daily Variety's "Dish" column reports the actor is getting that fee to star as the title character in "Beverly Hills Ninja."



Heather Locklear


A new role for Heather Locklear. The actress will star in the NBC television movies "Dead Suzy" during her hiatus from "Melrose Place" late next spring, Daily Variety reports. The movie is about a woman tormented by multiple personalities.



Quentin Tarantino is staying up late this weekend. The Oscar-winning filmmaker will be the host on "Saturday Night Live." "Smashing Pumpkins" is set as the musical guest.
