All systems are go for "Space -- Above and Beyond." The Fox action adventure series has been picked up for the full season. The show, which is about Marines fighting a war outside the solar system, has been performing above the expectations of the ratings.



Comedian Jeff Foxworthy is getting his own record label for comedy. The banner will be Parallel Records, which will operate under Warner Brothers. Foxworthy is looking for both new and established talent to record for his label, according to the Hollywood Reporter.



Brosnan

Mr. Bond is headed for the record racks. The soundtrack for "Goldeneye" is due early in November, featuring the title track sung by Tina Turner, which was written by Bono and Edge from the band U-2. "Goldeneye" is set to appear on theater screens in mid-November.

Mick Jagger

The Stones say they did the singing. Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones have filed suit against the German magazine "Der Spiegel" after the publication claimed the band lip- synched concerts in Germany on their "Voodoo Lounge" tour. The Stones are denying the claim.



Henry Thomas, last seen in "Legends of the Fall," is going to work on a new comedy about the movies. Thomas will co-star in "P.A. in L.A.," a film that will depict the travails of a production assistant working on a sequel to "Moby Dick."



Seagal

Steven Seagal may be getting a class director for his next film. Daily Variety reports Roland Joffe is in talks to direct "The Glimmer Man," Seagal's next action film. Joffe is coming off the resounding flop of his latest film, "The Scarlet Letter," and could use a hit.



A Harris poll indicates John Wayne is still a top star, 16 years after his death. The poll asked Americans to name their favorite movie star and the Duke came in first, displacing last year's winner, Clint Eastwood, who came in at second place. Mel Gibson, Denzel Washington, Kevin Costner and Tom Hanks followed. Julia Roberts and Demi Moore tied for the highest ranking actress, in 22nd place.



David Bowie, Pink Floyd and Jefferson Airplane will land in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. New inductees in the Cleveland Museum for 1996 also will include Gladys Knight and the Pips and the Shirelles. The induction ceremony is to be held in January in New York.



Ace of Base is giving France a pass. Members of the Swedish band say they've been frightened away from touring French venues because of terrorist threats against the country.
