Eisner pockets huge earnings from Disney stock
LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Disney chairman Michael Eisner made headlines when he cashed in stock options and pocketed a cool half-billion dollars and some change. And just in case that wasn't enough, Eisner also made an additional $10.6 million in salary and bonuses -- for this year alone. Eisner isn't the only one profiting from the House of Mouse. Shareholders have also seen a rise in the value of their holdings.

HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - The Broadcast Film Critics Association, a group of 123 television, radio and Internet reviewers, awarded acting prizes to Jack Nicholson for "As Good As it Gets," Helena Bonham Carter for "The Wings of the Dove," and the directing honor to James Cameron for "Titanic." The best picture winner will be announced January 19 at its awards luncheon. It will be chosen from among the group's top 10, made up of "Amistad," "As Good As it Gets," "Boogie Nights," "Donnie Brasco," "The Full Monty," "Good Will Hunting," "L.A. Confidential," "Titanic," "Wag the Dog" and "The Wings of the Dove." The BFCA winners echoed the previously released prize slates of several critics organizations, including the New York and Los Angeles reviewers. New York supporting actress winner Joan Cusack was honored for "In & Out," and Curtis Hanson and Brian Helgeland's script based on James Ellroy's "L.A. Confidential," prized by both groups, was cited for adapted screenplay.
