(CNN) -- She's been around for 67 years and still retains her girlish figure.

And while her career isn't what it used to be, animated character Betty Boop lives on as something of a cult figure. Just ask one of hundreds of collectors who attended the 12th annual Betty Boop Festival Saturday in Los Angeles.

Among the highlights: a Betty Boop tattoo show-and-tell, replete with testimonials. Is there any better way to immortalize Hollywood's first animated sex symbol?
