LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt and Liberty University Chancellor Jerry Falwell debated each other Friday night as they appeared on CNN's Larry King Live program.
The two are longtime foes over the free speech issue. In the 1980s, Falwell sued Flynt for libel and emotional distress over a parody about the then Moral Majority leader printed in Hustler magazine. The case went all the way to the Supreme Court, which ruled in Flynt's favor.
The issue is the subject of a new movie, "The People vs. Larry Flynt," and was fodder for the two for most of the show.
