| Willie Nelson is headed for the set of "Dr. Quinn." The
country music legend will play a lawman in the long running
CBS series. Nelson is currently shooting his segment which
will air later this year.

The theme and background music from the hit NBC series "ER"
are part of a new album release. The "ER" album is out on
Atlantic records with James Newton Howard's theme and Martin
Davich's background music.
Daily Variety reports the sequel to "The Fugitive" entitled
"U.S. Marshalls," has been green lighted by Warner Brothers,
Tommy Lee Jones has yet to sign onto the project pending his
approval of the finished script.
Good news for Aaron Spelling. The Warner Brothers Network
has decided to pick up "Savannah" for the remainder of the
season. Daily Variety also reports that the Spelling family
drama "7th Heaven" is likely to go the whole season as well.

Celine Dion has reclaimed her spot on the top of the charts.
The singer's new album "Falling Into You" is number one on
the Billboard album charts for the second week in a row.

Dennis Hopper and Jim Carrey are joining forces for a new
film. Daily Variety reports Hopper will co-star with Carrey
in "The Truman Show," a comedy thriller in which he'll play a
network executive who controls Carrey's life.
Lucy Lawless, star of the syndicated series "Xena - Warrior
Princess" was released from a Southern California hospital
Wednesday. She suffered a fractured pelvis a week earlier
while filming a stunt for "The Tonight Show." The 28-year-
old actress will be able to resume work on the show when
production picks up at the end of the year.
Bonnie Raitt doesn't donate her old guitars, she plays them.
The Associated Press reports Raitt recently turned down the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when they asked for one of her
guitars. Her favorite is a 1969 Stratocaster that's been on
every album and tour she's done. When she dies, she says
she'll give it to another musician so it can be played
instead of hanging on a wall.
Mary-Chapin Carpenter's new album is heading for record
stores. "A Place in the World" hits the racks on Tuesday but
it can be heard early on Monday night when a live satellite
broadcast unveils selections from the album.
