NEW YORK (CNN) -- Two stunt people working on a Steven Spielberg movie, "The Peacemaker," were slightly injured Friday during the filming of a scene that involved an explosion.

A spokesman for the New York Fire Department said the stunt people suffered scrapes and bruises and were sent to an area hospital for treatment.

The stunt people were standing in for actors George Clooney and Nicole Kidman. Elbert said the injuries occurred because the performers, who in the scene appear to be hurled out of a building by an explosion, apparently missed a mat they were supposed to land on.

UNTV cameraman Gary Roth captured the incident on his Hi-8 camera. The video shows one of the stunt people lying on the ground following the explosion, surrounded by emergency personnel. (493K QuickTime movie)
