It appears John Travolta won't return to "The Double" after all. The film's producers reportedly are considering someone else for the role, Daily Variety reports. The actor walked out of rehearsals nine days before shooting was to begin. Originally, producers said the actor left for medical reasons and was expected to return.

"The Jetsons" will have to be made without filmmaker Joe Dante. Dante dropped out of the feature film version of the cartoon series because of creative differences, according to Daily Variety. The project is now on hold at Turner Pictures.
The Cranberries tour of Australia has ended early. The Hollywood Reporter says the band's lead singer, Delores O'Riordan, suffered a knee injury and has returned to Ireland for surgery.
David Letterman may appear in the Howard Stern movie "Private Parts" -- but no hairpiece comes with the deal. Letterman has agreed to portray himself in the movie by recreating an early Stern appearance on the NBC "Late Night" Letterman show. But the talk show host refused to wear a hairpiece that would have recreated Letterman's hair during the period.
Actor Anthony LaPaglia is moving to "Murder One." Daily Variety says the actor will replace Daniel Benzali as the defense attorney in the legal drama when it returns to the ABC prime time schedule this fall.

Love her or not, singer Courtney Love is one of Time's 25 most influential people in America. The list appears in the magazine's next issue. Other showbiz figures on the list are Jerry Seinfeld, Oprah Winfrey, Wynton Marsalis and Robert Redford.
It's never too late to be homecoming queen. Just ask Mary Tyler Moore. She was a homecoming queen last weekend in Brooklyn to celebrate "Welcome Back to Brooklyn Day." Harvey Keitel also made an appearance.
