(CNN) -- Wesley Snipes shares top billing with the devil in the upcoming MGM film "Lucifer." The Hollywood Reporter indicates Snipes will produce as well as star in the thriller about a character who makes a deal with Satan himself.
Actress Kelly Lynch has a new project in the works. Lynch has signed to co-star as a murderer with David Caruso in "Cold Around the Heart." Shooting begins next month in Los Angeles.
Seal will soon join a long list of singers who've appeared on MTV's "Unplugged." The vocalist will be featured in a one-hour acoustic concert on the music channel early next month. Seal's "Unplugged" was recorded at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in April.
Actress Molly Ringwald will surface on the "American Movie Classics" channel this weekend. The actress will appear on an episode of the channel's only original series, "Remember When."
The folks at Toys R Us must have been really excited about their line of toys based on the film "Independence Day" ... so excited that the toys came out months before the movie's release, giving away a few of the film's secrets, including an advance look at its aliens. The good news is that the toys are selling well.

Comedian Tim Allen could be heading into the wild, blue yonder. Columnist Army Archerd reports that the "Home Improvement" star has told the president of Walt Disney Pictures that "20 Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" is his favorite film of all time. Archerd reports Allen could end up in a remake the studio is planning for 1997.

Tina Turner is going to use her famous legs to sell hosiery. The legendary singer and occasional actress has signed up with Hanes to appear in TV, radio and print ads for the company's product line. Hanes brass calls its alliance with Tina "a smooth and natural one."
A live-action version of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," starring Mandy Patinkin in the title role, has the green light. Turner Network Television and Alliance Pictures have agreed to make a $12 million version of the Victor Hugo novel for the cable channel in the United States and theaters abroad. Shooting begins in Budapest and Prague in July.
