The show "Sister, Sister" will feature a special guest this week. Music and cartoon legend Casey Kasem makes a guest shot on the series by playing himself. The episode is called, "The Audition".

Actor James Spader is heeding the directors' call. Hollywood Reporter says Spader will begin shooting "Curtain Call" in September. Jason Robards Jr. will star in the film, described as a ghostly comedy in the "Topper" mold.
Siskel and Ebert will give some of Hollywood's most prominent stars the biggest review of their careers this week. Film critics Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert will interview Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg on their CBS special, "The Siskel and Ebert Interviews." The duo promises to skip over the gossip and concentrate on the art and craft of movie making.
"Seven" is the top video rental in the country this week, according to Billboard magazine. "Braveheart" has slipped into second place, "Babe" holds on to third followed by "To Die For." "Waiting to Exhale" makes its debut in fifth place.
"Babe" remains the top selling video in America, according to the weekly Billboard magazine chart. "Waiting to Exhale" has jumped up to second place, followed by a reprised version of "Pulp Fiction," "The Aristocats" and "Pocahontas."

"The Birdcage" is soaring over the competition in international markets. It's the No. 1 film in Australia and Spain this week. In Brazil, "From Dusk to Dawn" is No. 1; in Japan, "Mr. Holland's Opus" is lining them up; and in Italy, "12 Monkeys" is tops.
Shirley MacLaine says she knows why Jack Nicholson agreed to a brief appearance as his "Terms of Endearment" character in the film's sequel, "Evening Star." MacLaine told Entertainment Weekly the Los Angeles Lakers were playing Houston the week he was working in Texas on the film.

Actor John Malkovich is set to sit in the director's chair for two upcoming films: "The Dancer Upstairs" and "The Libertine." The second film stars Johnny Depp. Daily Variety says both films will fall in the $12 million to $15 million range.
Actress Whoopie Goldberg will star as the title character in the upcoming film, "Lily White." Yes, "Lily White." The movie is based on a soon-to-be-released novel by Susan Isaacs. Goldberg will star in the Caravan Pictures comedy as a criminal defense attorney representing a con man charged with murder.
