Actor Bruce Willis takes to the skies in his next film. Daily Variety reports the actor will star in "Icarus." He'll play a Vietnam veteran who steals an F-14. The movie was originally written for Sylvester Stallone.

Actress and Oscar-winning screenwriter Emma Thompson will join her mother, Phyllida Law, in the movie version of the play "Winter Guest." Filming starts this fall, Daily Variety says. It will a directorial debut for actor Alan Rickman.
Actress Florence Henderson has a wild new role. Daily Variety reports the one-time "Brady Bunch" matriarch will play the lead in the thriller "Wrinkles" -- about residents of a sleepy suburb disappearing one by one after a crazy grandmother moves into town.
"Sister" no more . . . Actress Sela Ward will kick off her post-show era with "The Reef," a television movie based on the Edith Wharton novel by the same name. Daily Variety says the CBS telefilm will star Timothy Dalton.
The people of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, won't get to rock with the group Santana after all. Carlos Santana had hoped to bring the first rock 'n' roll concert to Vietnam since the end of the Vietnam War, but the show was canceled. The Associated Press said Vietnamese officials approved the show too late for Santana to work it into his touring schedule.

Actor Stephen Baldwin takes "cool" to another level. He is going under the Polar ice caps for his next movie, "Sub Down," about three scientists who must save a crippled nuclear submarine, says the Hollywood Reporter. Shooting is to begin in late July.
There's new life for "The Lazurus Man." The Hollywood Reporter says the syndicated show from Turner Program Services has been renewed for another 22 episodes. Robert Urich stars in the quirky western series.
You can hear, but not see, the actors of an animated film. Luke Perry, Ron Perlman and Olivia D'Abo are acting "behind the scenes" in "Mortal Kombat" for USA cable.
Actress Courtney Cox is moving to Brentwood, California. The Los Angeles Times reports the "Friends" star just bought a $2 million home. Cox is moving from Santa Monica.
