The Tri Star comedy "My Best Friend's Wedding" will pair Julia Roberts with a new leading man, Dermot Mulroney. Daily Variety reports that Mulroney and Roberts will begin shooting soon.
David Copperfield's bid on the Batmobile has gone sour. The magician bid $189,000 for the Batmobile at an auction, but now he's going to court to nullify his offer. Copperfield says he believed the car was the one actually used in the 1989 "Batman" film. Copperfield has since learned the car was built as a double, for publicity purposes.

Sinbad and Arnold Schwarzenegger will go to toe-to-toe in a battle for...a Christmas present. The two will race against time in the upcoming film "Jingle All the Way" for the same gift for their respective sons on Christmas Eve. Shooting should begin shortly.
Steven Seagal is trading his spot in front of the cameras for some behind-the-scenes action. The Hollywood Reporter's "E-mail" column reports the actor will play blues guitar for the soundtrack on his upcoming film "The Glimmer Man". Seagal recently held a blues jam session with Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi.

Could a sequel to the smash hit "Pretty Woman" be in the works? Not likely, according to actor Richard Gere. Gere tells the Philadelphia Inquirer that he and Julia Roberts won't do a sequel until there's a solid script. So far, he says, there isn't one.
It took some time, but 13-year-old Anna Paquin says she has finally seen her Oscar-winning performance in "The Piano." Paquin, who won the best supporting actress award for her performance in the film, was shown a "censored version" of the movie recently. She tells People magazine that adults covered her eyes for some of the scenes.

Director Louis Malle not only left a legacy to the world of filmaking, but to his family as well. Malle left the bulk of his $3 million estate in trust for his three children, and left his homes to his widow, actress Candace Bergen. The Hollywood Reporter said the 12-page will was entered into probate last week in New York.
