Wolfowitz pleads case before board

Paul Wolfowitz is fighting to hold on to his job.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Embattled World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz Tuesday pleaded to the World Bank Executive Board for fairness in deciding his fate and promised changes in his management style in an effort to hold on to his job.

In a lengthy address to the 24-member board, Wolfowitz presented a package of documents that he said prove he acted in good faith in arranging a promotion and pay raise for his girlfriend, Shaha Riza.
