Tancredo: 'I'm looking for Jack Bauer'
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- As the final candidate to answer a question about how they would interrogate terror suspects, Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo thought the hard-nosed anti-terror techniques shown on the television show "24" was the way to go.
"You say that nuclear devices have gone off in the United States, more are planned, and we're wondering about whether waterboarding would be a bad thing to do," Tancredo said. "I'm looking for Jack Bauer at that time, let me tell you." Tancredo continued by saying that if an attack of that magnitude happens, all of "Western civilization goes under." -- CNN Associate Producer Lauren Kornreich
