Senate leaders talk Iraq with White House chief of staff
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, and Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R Kentucky, met with White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten Wednesday morning on Capitol Hill to discuss the new Iraq supplemental bill.
The meeting lasted approximately 40 minutes and none of the participants formally stopped to answer questions afterwards. As he walked back to the Senate floor, Reid said, "we're talking principles is all," when asked if the White House presented him any concrete proposals. -- CNN Congressional Producer Ted Barrett
