Paul: 'I'm more Republican than they are'
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul beat back criticism that he does not belong in the race for his own party's nomination, saying that he's "more Republican" than the other candidates. Paul said on CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer Sunday that he supports the platform of the party "better than any other candidate, I am convinced of it." "Take out the platform. They're for less government. They're for personal liberty," he said. "How can anybody say I'm not Republican? I'm the most conservative member of the Congress. I vote for the least amount of spending and the least amount of taxes, and they say I'm not Republican enough?" --CNN Late Edition Producer Ted Metzger
